My Name is Shannon

I guess I need to introduce myself. Hi, my name is Shannon! In the last year of my life, there have been several changes. A year ago I had just bought my first house with my husband and I was on cloud nine! I was unpacking and decorating our new home and thinking of all the wonderful things life had to offer us. I was also living in Georgia. Within two months, my entire life was turned upside down. I found out my husband was cheating on me, he actually had a couple of girlfriends. I don’t feel the need to go into all of the details, but I moved to Texas to be with my parents less than a week before Christmas. After finding out more things I filed for divorce toward the end of January and completely moved to Texas on Valentine’s day. I have since had my divorce finalized and gotten my name off of the house. During all of this I was devastated and had a really hard time moving on. I am glad to say that today I am happier than I ever thought I could be!! I am thankful for how this experience has brought me closer to God and understanding just how strong of a person I am. I have started dating again and even had a short lived boyfriend. He is now one of my closest friends though. I have been trying to get a full time teaching job out here, but there is a lot of competition. Hopefully I will have one soon! I am starting over, but that is ok. I am thankful to have gotten out of the situation I was in before I wasted anymore time there. I am now 26 and loving life! I am still getting use to living in Texas and being away from everyone and everything I knew for the last 13 years of my life, but I know that the next 13 years will hold just as many amazing times and people! This is just a quick introduction and I am looking forward to sharing more of my daily life with you! Here are some pictures from the last several months out here in Texas! Thanks for stopping by :)

    Hi Shannon,
    SO happy to see you're blogging again... and I'm really happy things are going your way and you're doing great! You deserve so much happiness! Glad to see you out having fun and you are adjusting to living in Texas. Fingers crossed for a teaching job for you... they are so hard to come by, but stick at it because I'm sure you're great at what you do and any school would be really lucky to have you!
