What are they thinking?

I have been trying out the online dating thing and all I can say about some of the guys who have contacted me on there is WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!?! I thought it might be funny to share some of the messages/stories about these guys. Not all of the guys are stupid, but there are quite a few! Here are my interesting messages from this week:
Clint:

"do you not want to talk to me anymore sorry for whatever ive done and it was nothing about kyle bush i was just giving you a hard time you do not have to hate on me"

Seriously? Do you really think that I am not talking to you because you aren't a fan of Kyle? Yes I love my NASCAR, but you are not rquired to like it or my driver. Maybe it was because we were talking for only a couple minutes when he asked me if he could have one of my Dad's race tickets for November. Really? How are you going to invite yourself? Then when I signed off so I wouldn't have to talk anymore you sent messages to me like this one "SHANNON WHERE ARRRRRRRE YOUUUUUUU". I learned to never friend someone on facebook until I got to know them more because the next day he lit up my facebook wall and didn't seem to notice that I just kept deleting the messages. Stalker!! I unfriended him :)

Anson:

"I don't want to come across in the wrong manner by being blunt and asking, what was the basis for your divorce?"

Wow, how is that for a hello? I have no problem discussing my divorce with anyone, but how about saying hello first!
Fred:

"Hello. My name is Fred Keel "The Real Deal"."

Ummm.... yeah, I didn't write him back.

Brad:

"hey i wanted to see if you like to chat i live in fort worth in hurst we have a 40% compatibility"

Ok, so this one is not as weird. But for a first message lets try using capitalization and correct punctuation. And we have 40% compatibility, good for us...

Benjamin:

Ok, so his messages were just fine and I was considering talking to him some more. That was until I started snooping around Facebook and found out he has a girlfriend. A girlfriend with cancer. Seriously?! Well, I don't think she is his girlfriend anymore. I contacted her friend to see if she thought I should contact her about him. I did and I guess she has now found out about other girls he is talking to and other dating sites he is on. She told me that they had been talking about marriage. So sad, my heart hurts for her. She is going through a lot even without being betrayed by her boyfriend.

I have come to the conclusion that guys will never make sense to me.

  1. I am so glad I don't have to go through the dating thing. It was hard enough 40 years ago! Now...I don't think a guy would have to be a Kyle fan but can you imagine trying to get along with a Kyle hater!

  2. Yeah, a Kyle hater would not do!

  3. I think people do things online that they wouldn't even think about doing in person. Those first few were funny! And the last guy was sickening. I can't believe he would do that, but at least you (and she) found out. At least you're getting some good stories from this experience!
